Italian Cookbook author Daniel Bellino Loves all sorts of Sicilian and Neapolitan dishes. He grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey watching his mom make Meatballs, Braciole, Sunday Sauce, Chicken Cactiatore, Eggplant, Lasagna, Raviolis, Stuffed Shell, Stuffed Peppers, and Baked Stuffed Artichokes, which Daniel says he would share with his mother Lucia.

Daniel loves Bake Clams and Spaghetti Vongole (Clam Sauce), but says he didn't eat these and other Italian dishes until he was over 18, as his family never made these particular dishes in their home.  These dishes and others like Spaghetti Carbonara, Veal Milanese, and Clams Posilipo, he discovered when he starting dining out on his own, with his cousin TOny, sister Barbara, and his girlfriend. Daniel says, he dsicovered dishes like Speedino all Romano and Carbonara when he worked in the famous 100 year old plus Sicilian Italian Restaurant, John's on 12ths Street in New York.

Daniel has fond memories of the weekly SUnday Dinners at his Aunt Fran and Uncle Tony's house in Lodi, NJ, eating Antipasto, Raviolis, Veal Marsala, and Sunday Sauce made with Meatballs and Sausages. After the family was finsihed eating the Sunday Sauce (Gravy), it was on to coffee and dessert, which would last for 3 or 4 hours as the adults gossiped, told stories, and chit-chatted for hours on end. They drank both AMerican coffee and Italian Espresso, and ate Cannolis, Sfogliatelle, cakes, Italian Cookies and Pastries fro hours on end. Daniel said that his Aunt Frans homemade Ricotta Cookies were his favorites, along with Aunt Helen's Almond and Sesame Seed Cookies. "Yumm."

Frank Vincentm like his good pal Joe Pesci, growing up in New Jersey, liked to eat all the usual Italian-American usual supects dishes, like: Spaghetti & Meatballs, Sunday Gravy, Lasagna, Manicotti, Pasta with Jersey Crab Sauce, Cannolis and Italian Cheesecake.
